Greg Lewis - Head Coach
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Lewis attended Houston Christian High School where he won a state championship in 2001. He went on play junior college basketball at Alfred State College before completing his college career at St. Bonaventure University. Following graduation in 2006, Lewis joined the coaching staff at St. Bonaventure as the Director or Basketball Operations.
Lewis combines his wealth of basketball knowledge with his passion for teaching kids. Lewis’ coaching style is “demanding, not demeaning”. Parents are invited to drop by a BLADE game or practice any time to get an introduction.
Larry Kelley - Assistant Coach
Larry Kelley graduated from Richardson High School and was a member of the 1983 Eagles Basketball team that compiled a 32-3 record, winning 27 in a row before losing to eventual State Champion Bryan Vikings. Larry then headed to west Texas to attend Texas Tech University and play on the Varsity Basketball from 1983-1986 where he was a member of the 1985 SWC Champions. Larry went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a BA in Advertising. Larry's goal for BLADE is to make sure our youth learn how to play the game properly while having fun and learning to be gentlemen.
Jon Wilson - Assistant Coach
As a native of Wester New York, Jon played at Olean High school as a two-sport standout. After high school, Jon attended Alfred State College along side the program's own Greg Lewis. Jon then continued onto Langston University in Oklahoma.
As a student of the game of basketball, Jon's goal is to give back to the youth through his passion for coaching and teaching the game at the Basketball Leadership Academy Dallas East, otherwise known as BLADE.
